Captain America was so unrealistic. You honestly expect me to believe they put the flash drive in the right direction on the first try every time.
This is reason why it’s so stupid to have people go straight to college out of high school. We expect children to make major life decisions about careers and fields of study yet they’re not fully matured or self aware for at least another 5 years. I’m one of the very few lucky ones who knew the field I wanted to be a part of from an early age and wasn’t ever deterred from it or discouraged. The specific career changed a couple times but the field never wavered. The best advise I ever got was from a professor who told me to just look at all the angles. There’s more to criminology than cops and forensic psychologists. It’s not the worst thing to no longer feel satisfied by your original aspirations. It just means you’re growing as a person and developing other interests. Plus, there’s tons of careers out there that are hidden just under the surface. They’re extremely fulfilling but not flashy, so they go unnoticed. Go search for those positions within your field and maybe you’ll be inspired again. Or you won’t and you’ll know you may have to look elsewhere. Either way, you’ll be that much further along in discovering who you are and what you want out of life.
